6 POOL PARTY ESSENTIALS FOR MEN

Let’s talk about pool party essentials. Summer of 2021 is finally here and with so many of us already vaccinated, there’s no better plan than beach and pool parties.

In this post I will not mention things that I don’t consider essentially needed. So t-shirts, linen shirts and hats will not be a part of the list, even though they are a great complement to it.

I will also (by category) link my favorite items for this season in case you want to go and get them for yourself. However, I want to make clear that this is not a sponsored post. In the case of the prices, they will not be the cheapest or the most expensive either.

And before starting I want to mention that I will link one of the products from our Society6 launch. I haven’t announced this before now, but I will make a post about it soon. Enough talking, let’s check the list.

Pool party essentials:

1. SWIMWEAR

When talking about pool party essentials, the first and most important thing you need is a bathing suit. This is a piece of clothing that has to be comfortable for swimming as well as for hanging out poolside.

This year, the key is swim trunks and the shorter, the better. Actually, in stores like ASOS, they are being called “super short length”.

This acid wash pink trunks are one of my favorites this year.

2. SANDALS

If you are like me, there’s no essential for summer in general, that comes first than sandals. Basically, when the weather let me, I will not wear closed shoes if it is not totally needed. This year the Birkenstocks-like sandals are my favorite shoes, yes, they are back again.

If your budget is a bit more limited, ASOS have great options in more accessible prices.

For example, this sandals in stone -a gorgeous neutral color- are my favorite ones this year and -since I have them in stone and black- I am in a position to say that the quality is exceptional and I recommend them.

3. A TOTE BAG

A bag that is becoming everyday more popular and that in the summer will be even more essential to every closet is the tote bag. It is not only perfect and needed to go to any beach or pool party, but to go anywhere you need to go this summer. It is a genderless bag that hangs easily without losing its shape and style, and it also fits a lot of things.

4. SUNGLASSES

In the summer the sun is always hot. So, sunglasses will always be recommendable -in my opinion, essential. This year, the same way as for the swim trunks, we are going smaller. In fact, this pretty small sunglasses from ASOS which remind me a lot of the 1990s, are my favorite ones for the summer of 2021.

5. SUNSCREEN IS ON MY LIST OF POOL PARTY ESSENTIALS AND IT IS AN ESSENTIAL FOR EVERY DAY AND EVERY SEASON OF THE YEAR

In this blog I try to cover only the fashion and skip the skincare. However, I consider sunscreen an exception in that case as it is needed for our own health, hence an essential. We have to take care.

In this case I will not link any product as I am not an expert and there’s a big variety. I recommend you to search and find the right one for you and follow its instructions. Don’t put your skin and life in danger, let’s have fun poolside and take care at the same time.

6. A FUN FLOAT

A fun float is also an essential for every pool party, sometimes the best thing is to be on the pool, but not in the water. Flamingos, unicorns, orca whales and pineapples are a must for any pool party. However this year, my favorite float is this motorized pool lounger by PoolCandy that I actually purchased recently at Walmart -I think you can also purchase it directly from the PoolCandy website. I have to say that the quality is great and the experience to drive a float trough a pool in the middle of a pool party, even better. I recommend this float 100%.

In conclusion, after so much quarantining, already vaccinated and with the summer of 2021 being officially two days away from us, we can’t wait to jump in the pools, lakes, rivers and beaches. Pool parties are coming and we need the fun. If you are already vaccinated, get your essentials and get out. It is time to breath out of our houses.
